If continuing with a Pr2022 project, now go in the newly created 2023 project to the MediaBrowser panel.Whether you are continuing a previous project or starting a new one, CREATE A NEW PROJECT! (If actually starting a new project, import/ingest your assets as before.) Reboot Pr2023 if it does not automatically do so.In the Media Cache dialog, use the option to DELETE the cache files.On Mac, go to Preferences by choosing Premiere Pro > Preferences. On Windows, go to the Preferences dialog box by choosing Edit > Preferences and then clicking on the Media Cache preference. After installing 2023, do NOT open or create a project.It will automatically create a new Production folder, and do the migration by copying/redoing projects automatically for the entire Production. then simply 'open' the previous Production with the new major version of Premiere. Follow the listed steps below!įor small projects or non-critical workflows, duplicate the previous version project file before opening it in the new version. If you have critical or large-project workflows, it may be wise to NOT simply open a 2022 or earlier project in the new version. MAKE SURE THAT YOU UNCHECK "REMOVE PREVIOUS VERSIONS" IN THE UPDATE PROCESS! I do not recommend ever removing the previous versions.
